Is your body starting to slow down? Does your body feel like it's older than it is? The older we get, the less supple our bodies become. But most of us are decrepit before our time. We are weaker and tighter than we need be. This is the result of injuries and lack of use. “Use it or lose it,” is very appropriate for the body, but it's just as common for people to overuse the body in their quest for a healthier body. This course is for bodyworkers (physical therapists, massage therapists, personal trainers, etc).
In this all-day seminar, you’ll learn to assess the head and neck for the six Hippocratic tissue imbalances -- heat, cold, dryness, moisture, tension, and laxity -- by working through the tissues and joints of the inner ear, head, jaw, upper neck, neck, and shoulder blades. Once identified, you’ll learn how to manage these imbalances with hands-on techniques, exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
  • 9am: Introduction to the Six Imbalances and the Head and Neck Region
  • 10am: Balancing the Head and Neck with Manual and Therapeutic Techniques
